After the jump, today's email has information about the sales tax holiday coming up at the end of the week:
It's that time of year again when the stores are crowded with families trying to prepare their students for returning to school. I know my family is in the same process with my two girls. As we all plan a shopping strategy, please consider taking advantage of the Florida Sales Tax Holiday this weekend. Florida's Back-to-School sales tax holiday will begin at 12:01 a.m. Friday, August 12, and end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 14. No sales tax will be collected on clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $75 or less, or on certain school supplies selling for $15 or less.
Please stay safe and well-hydrated as your shopping takes you out and about in the summer heat. I look forward to hearing of a successful start to the new school year.
Below you will find a link to the list of taxable (T) and exempt (E) items provided by the Department of Revenue. It is not all-inclusive, but many of the items will help in your preparations.
