Late Wednesday evening, I posted a snarky little tweet in response to Vladimir Putin's New York Times op-ed...
Hey Putin, next time you wanna write a letter to convince America about something, how about you skip saying we're not exceptional? #rude

...and it got picked up by CNN.com, leading to my Twitter timeline going insane with comments from some very...ummm...passionate people around the globe. I'm not going to drive traffic to any of those nuts, but there are a lot of people who were wildly misinterpreting what American Exceptionalism actually means, when they weren't busy blaming America for all the wars and misery around the globe. One charmer even said I was personally the reason there was terrorism. Huh?
Then today, former Senator and current Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint sent this letter to Putin:

Well played, Mr. DeMint, well played. But yeah, I would skip that vacation in Moscow this year. Might have some delays at customs on the way home.
